Entrepreneur Daniel Rudden, born in New Jersey, studied finance before moving to South Florida, where he envisioned what would become Crux Coffee Roasters. In 2012, he met Victoria Rudden, and together they built not just a life, but a dream. The couple married in 2014, and with a shared vision, they took a leap of faith to open Crux Coffee Roasters in Downtown Abacoa.

From the beginning, Crux was more than just a coffee roastery; it was a labor of love. Danny and Victoria dedicated themselves fully, working tirelessly perfect their craft. In August 2019, their joy grew with the birth of their first child, adding even more meaning to their journey.

However, in April 2021, Danny was diagnosed with cancer, a battle that progressed far too quickly. On August 20, 2021, he tragically passed away, leaving behind a legacy of passion, resilience, and community. In his honor, Danny’s sister, Katherine Rudden, established an annual fundraiser, Danny’s Walk to Save the Children, to commemorate his life and support a cause that was deeply meaningful to him.

Since its inception, the walk has raised significant funds, reflecting the strength and dedication of his family and community. In 2022, they raised $2,820.10, in 2023, they raised $4,184.11, and in 2024, they raised $5,128. This growing support continues to honor his legacy and provide vital assistance to the causes he held dear.
